Dr Mina Shehata provides specialist assessment in adult respiratory and sleep medicine, with particular expertise in complex, progressive and diagnostically uncertain presentations.
Referral is appropriate for adult patients presenting with:
- Persistent or unexplained sleep disturbance
- Suspected or confirmed sleep disordered breathing including obstructive sleep apnoea
- Daytime sleepiness affecting function or safety
- Insomnias, parasomnias or complex nocturnal events
- Chronic cough or breathlessness
- Asthma or airway disease requiring optimisation
- COPD and smoking or vaping related lung disease
- Lung nodules or suspected malignancy
- Diagnostic uncertainty or overlapping contributing factors
Medical assessment is systematic and physiology-driven, with emphasis on risk stratification, rational investigation sequencing and clear therapeutic direction. Following consultation, referring doctors receive timely correspondence outlining the key findings and recommendations to support ongoing care.
